Part Time Catering Assistant x 4 posts 22.25 hours per week and Casual Catering Assistant

North East Derbyshire District Council is proud of providing excellent Leisure Centres to our customers and the Café facilities are a friendly, inviting and popular service within our Centres. Our brand new Clay Cross Active facility will provide a place to be active, both physically and mentally. The new hub has been designed with the local community in mind and will provide activities to improve health, learning, development, and social interaction. The facility is anticipated to open early Summer 2025. We are looking for a number of enthusiastic individuals to supplement our team in our Café facility situated at our new Clay Cross Active. The Part Time posts will be 22.25 hours per week and the Casual positions offer flexibility and would be ideal for students or someone wishing to work additional hours or work flexibly around their personal commitments. We are keen for candidates who have flexible availability to apply. Shifts for this position will be daytime, afternoons and weekends as required. To be successful you will need: To hold the Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate (Not necessary at application stage but must be obtained within 3 months of appointment) The ability to deal with a full age range of customers. Have a good understanding of the catering industry. The successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Basic Level and must be willing to work at any of the council’s establishments should the need arise. The post is normally based at Clay Cross Active but the successful candidate must be willing to work at any of the council’s establishments should the need arise.
