Freelance Project Coordinator (Out & About)

We’re looking for a proactive and well-organised Freelance Project Coordinator to help deliver our Out & About Pop-Ups – a series of creative, welcoming events designed with and for local communities in North East Derbyshire. This is a hands-on role and includes project coordination and event management. You will help co-create and deliver a series of inclusive, community-led pop-up events, developed by working closely with local residents, volunteers, and partners. These events will provide creative activities, informal advice, and meaningful social connections in underused local spaces. You’ll need to coordinate logistics, support volunteers, manage outreach and promotion, and gather feedback to evaluate the project’s impact. The Out & About Pop-Up project is funded by the Inclusive Communities Fund through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This place-based initiative aims to reduce social isolation, improve access to essential services, and strengthen community wellbeing across five high-need wards in North East Derbyshire.
