The Fore’s Unrestricted Funding Programme Opens on 28 March – Apply Early.

Active Derbyshire, Active Notts, Funding, News

The Fore offers unrestricted funding to small charities and CICs that are making a big impact. That is, organisations which want to significantly grow, strengthen, become more efficient or resilient. They won’t fund ‘business as usual’. They have a particular interest in supporting grassroots organisations working with underserved communities.

Unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 spread over one to three years are available. Non-financial support such as access to a network of skilled, pro-bono volunteers is also available to successful charities.

The unrestricted funding can be used for any purpose. The funding can cover core costs and capital funding. The funding is to help strengthen applicant organisations to help them take the next step forward in its growth or sustainability.

Charities, CICs, CIOs and community benefit societies with less than £500,000 annual income can apply.

To apply for funding, organisations must first register some basic contact details. Once their place on the funding round has been confirmed by email, they have three to four weeks to submit an application. Only organisations that have registered with the Fore and are allocated a place may submit an application for the specific funding round.

This is a very competitive process. The Fore reports that one-third of applicants will get through to the ‘ideas testing’ phase.

There are three funding rounds per year which open for registration for one week only.

Apply early! The Summer funding round will open for registration at 12pm (midday) on 28 March 2024.
