SPAR shoppers can apply for a grant of up to £10,000 for a local voluntary or community organisation or charity. Applicants for grants are open to UK residents aged 16 years or over.
All applicants need to do is share the exceptional contribution that a local organisation has made to their local community and what the grant would be used for.
The grants will be given based on the strength of the applicant’s story, the recipient’s levels of dedication to their community and the credibility of what the grant would be spent on and its impact for the local community.
The following are not eligible for funding:
- Individuals
- Community Interest Companies with shares (CICs).
- Community Interest Companies with guarantee that are less than two years old.
- Profit-making organisations.
Last year grants were awarded to over 20 local organisations across the UK, with some receiving £10,000.

Successful organisations will be announced between 20 June 2024 and 27 June 2024.
The deadline for applications is 22 May 2024 (23:59).
