Funding is available to improve the quality of life for Derbyshire residents by supporting activities that help to build safer, stronger communities.

Key Information

Fund Administrator: Foundation Derbyshire (on behalf of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire)

Grant Amount: Up to £2,500

Application Deadline: Rolling programme – applications accepted throughout the year with quarterly assessment panels

Location: Derby and Derbyshire

Who Can Apply

Voluntary and community groups in Derbyshire that are:

  • Constituted
  • Have a bank account in the group’s name
Funding Priorities

The fund supports projects that:

  • Violence Against Women and Girls: Raise awareness, improve education, and support women and girls affected by violence and abuse
  • Safeguarding: Protect vulnerable people, children and young people from all forms of exploitation
  • Online Safety: Promote and educate communities on internet safety
  • Substance Misuse: Tackle drug and alcohol issues through prevention awareness and direct rehabilitation pathways
  • Youth Diversionary Activities: Reduce anti-social behaviour through mentoring, volunteering, and opportunities for personal growth
  • Community Safety: Develop projects that increase local safety and reduce crime
What Can Be Funded
  • Capital costs: Equipment (substantial building works unlikely to be funded)
  • Revenue costs: Project running costs and ongoing operational expenses
  • One-off events and projects
What Cannot Be Funded
  • Profit-making organisations and businesses
  • Medical equipment
  • Animal charities
  • Faith promotion or place of worship refurbishment/building
  • Statutory bodies or projects replacing statutory obligations
  • Projects benefiting people outside Derbyshire
  • Political party promotion
  • Retrospective funding
  • Sponsored events
  • Groups with an active grant or who received funding within the last 12 months
  • Groups with incomplete monitoring from previous grants
