Not-for-profit groups operating in Nottingham can apply for grants of up to £3,000 to enable delivery of physical activity sessions for those living with Parkinson’s.
Charities, CICs, Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs), and constituted community groups operating in Nottingham who work with one or more of the following marginalised groups are eligible to apply:
- Ethnic minority groups.
- Anyone with physical or learning disabilities.
- Low affluence areas and low socio-economic groups.
- Anyone from the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Refugee, asylum-seeking and migrant communities.
- Anyone who identifies as a woman.
Or, they must work with the Parkinson’s community in any locations listed here on the Parkinson’s UK website.
Funding can be offered for exercise class provision, consultation with the Parkinson’s community, and engagement events. Applicants can apply for up to 60% of their funding to contribute to physical activity sessions and 40% towards community engagement.
Parkinson’s UK is holding a webinar about the fund on Wednesday 9th July 2025 from 1pm to 2pm. Registration is required.
The deadline for funding applications is 10th August 2025, with decisions made by 1st September 2025.
