Nottinghamshire County Council’s Local Communities Fund – Now Open

Active Notts, Funding, News

Nottinghamshire County Council’s Local Communities Fund (LCF) has now opened its Large Revenue programme, offering significant investment to support projects that strengthen communities, improve wellbeing, and reduce isolation.

What funding is available?

A range of grants are available to support different types of organisations and projects:

  • Up to £50,000 per year (2026–2028) through the Large Revenue Fund
  • Up to £20,000 for smaller revenue projects (opening later this summer)
  • Up to £20,000 capital funding for facilities and equipment
  • Up to £1,000 foundation grants for smaller or grassroots groups.

Funding can support both day-to-day delivery costs (revenue) and physical improvements to community spaces (capital).

This funding is open to a wide range of organisations, including charities, community groups, CICs, and social enterprises working to benefit Nottinghamshire residents.  Groups operating only in Nottingham city are not eligible.

Projects should demonstrate strong community involvement and will require support from a local county councillor as part of the application process.

The fund is designed to support initiatives that build stronger, healthier communities , including projects focused on mental wellbeing, tackling loneliness, improving access to opportunities, and creating safe, connected local spaces.

Deadline:

Applications for the Large Revenue Fund close at 12pm on Friday 3 July 2026.

Other funding streams are expected to open later in the summer.
