Nottingham City Council Public Health Grants

Active Notts, Funding, News

Nottingham City Council is offering grants of up to £24,000 to community groups that are working to improve the health and wellbeing of residents across Nottingham City.

Not-for-profits, charities, CVS organisations, and CICs are all encouraged to apply for one of three grant streams.

Small Grants: up to £1,000

This stream is open to any health activity that aligns with the priorities set out in Nottingham City’s Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025–2028.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until 31st March 2027.

Medium Grants: up to £5,000

The medium stream is focused specifically on increasing social connection and reducing loneliness in Nottingham City.

The deadline for applications is 10th June 2026. Organisations that are successful and can demonstrate local impact may be awarded equivalent follow-on funding after 12 months.

Large Community Grants: up to £24,000

The largest stream supports long-term, sustainable projects delivered over a one-year period. Applicants must demonstrate genuine community need and show how their project will deliver positive health and wellbeing outcomes for Nottingham City residents.

Applications for all three funding streams will open from Wednesday 1st April 2026.
