Running from January 2026 to March 2026, Derby’s Social Economy Business Support Programme will be delivered by Locality in partnership with Derby City Council.
This fully funded programme is designed to support incorporated social enterprises, community organisations, co-operatives and charities based in Derby to strengthen their business skills, improve sustainability, and increase their social impact in addressing local inequalities.
About the programme
The programme offers a blend of practical, hands-on support, including:
- A tailored diagnostic to understand your organisation’s strengths, challenges and growth ambitions.
- Six expert-led workshops focused on business planning, finance, impact, marketing, collaboration and investment readiness.
- One-to-one tailored support on areas such as governance, business and financial planning, and growth.
- Practical tools and resources you can continue to use beyond the programme.
- Opportunities to connect with other social enterprises and become part of Derby’s growing social economy.

The programme is open to incorporated organisations delivering social value in Derby, including social enterprises, charities, co-operatives and community organisations at different stages of development.
