Near Neighbours Small Grants Fund – Nottingham

Grants of between £1,000 – £6,000 are available for local community projects in Nottingham.  A variety of not-for-profit organisations can apply including smaller charities.

What’s Funded

Projects must bring together 2+ different faith / ethnicities / backgrounds to:

  • Build relationships and trust
  • Improve local communities
  • Be new or developed work (not repeat activities).

2025 Priorities:

  1. Young people (16-25) projects building hope across diverse groups
  2. Cross-cultural wellbeing partnerships (menopause, education, caring, employment themes).

Eligible costs: Small equipment, volunteer expenses, staff costs for new work, overheads (max 15%).

What’s NOT Funded

  • Projects outside eligible areas
  • Repeat/annual events
  • Single faith/ethnic group activities
  • Faith promotion
  • School curriculum/statutory services
  • Major capital costs or building repairs
  • Retrospective funding
  • Individual applications
  • Organisations with turnover over £200,000

Key Dates

  • Deadline: 11.59pm, 13th November 2025
  • Decisions: December 2025
  • Projects complete by: 1st May 2026
