Funding is available through The National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF)’s Climate Action Fund to to help communities tackle climate change and support them in being environmentally sustainable.
Organisations in partnership can request grants from a minimum of £500,000 over multiple years to support projects that:
- are clear about the lasting impact they want to make
- could be scaled up or replicated elsewhere
- are delivered by diverse partnerships
- will bring in new voices from different communities, especially those experiencing poverty, discrimination, and disadvantage
- look beyond climate or the environment to other interests as a way to engage people to take action
- have strong communications and engagement plans to share the story of their work.
The Climate Action Fund is only available to fund projects developed in a formal partnership between organisations. This could include CVS organisations, or groups working in the public sector, environment sector, or with expertise such as story-telling, learning, and impact. Single organisations are not eligible to apply.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday 17th December 2025.
