The Community Opportunity Fund offers funding opportunities for organisations working with young people in communities where Samworth Brothers operates. Funding will primarily be awarded for one year, but multi-year projects up to three years may be considered.
Since 2013, the fund has distributed over £2 million to more than 75 clubs and organisations.
Samworth Brothers are primarily focused on providing funding to youth under 18, particularly those underserved and minority groups, including young people with disabilities. The fund supports the following two main categories:
- Sports and recreation projects that increase youth participation and activity
- Food, nutrition, and cooking initiatives that engage young people in learning about healthy eating
Funds are granted on a rolling basis, with applications to be submitted by the 25th of each month for a decision by month’s end.
