Near Neighbours has opened its 2026–27 Small Grants Fund to Nottingham groups that bring together people from different faiths, ethnicities and backgrounds.
The programme offers grants of £1,000 to £6,000 for local projects that build stronger relationships and encourage communities to improve their neighbourhoods together.
Projects must involve at least two different community groups, operate at street, estate or neighbourhood level, and cost no more than £15,000. Applicants should propose new or developed activities that create lasting connections.
Near Neighbours will prioritise small, volunteer-led organisations, projects that develop local leadership, and communities facing deprivation, isolation or division. Faith groups, places of worship, informal groups and secular organisations may apply. Groups without a constitution or bank account must use an eligible local organisation as their accountable body.
Applicants must speak to the local Near Neighbours Coordinator before applying and meet safeguarding requirements.
Applications close at 11.59pm on 30 November 2026.
Organisers expect to notify applicants in February 2027. Projects may start after 1 March 2027 and must finish by 30 June 2027.
