Up to 10 winning charities of the 2027 GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) IMPACT Awards will receive £50,000 in unrestricted funding. Up to five runners-up will receive £5,000 in unrestricted funding. Winners will also receive free training and development valued at an average of £13,500 per organisation. This includes publicity support, national recognition, pro bono support from GSK, and 12 months of legal support.
Applicants must be a registered charities which is at least 3 years old and working in a health-related field. Applicants’ annual income must be between £150,000 and £3 million.
The awards are for charities improving people’s health and wellbeing. Applicants do not need to present a new project, as the awards recognise and support the organisation’s existing work. They encourage organisations led by and supporting under-represented communities to apply.
Applications follow a two-stage process:
Stage one closes at 5pm on 19 August 2026.
They will invite successful applicants to Stage Two by 17 September.
A Final Deadline of 5pm on 5 October 2026.

2026 winners included:
- Age UK Norwich – supporting older people to stay healthier for longer through health coaching, befriending, clubs, trips and advocacy work.
- Empowerment Charity Lancashire – serving disadvantaged communities in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, empowering local people to bring about change to their health and wellbeing.
2025 winners included:
- Isle of Wight Youth Trust, providing youth mental health, wellbeing and practical support services and activities to young people and their families.
- Keighley Healthy Living, addressing health inequalities and improving the physical and mental wellbeing of the local community in Bradford, Keighley and Craven through lifestyle changes.
- Nilaari Agency, a Bristol-based charity providing culturally tailored mental health support to adults from Black, Asian and minoritised communities.
- Search: Services for Older People, supporting older people in Newcastle. Particularly those experiencing poverty and ill health to live healthier, active and more independent lives.
The 2027 GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) IMPACT Awards open for applications from registered charities working to improve health and wellbeing in the UK. The awards are run by GSK in partnership with The King’s Fund, an independent charity. The aim of this fund is to work to improve health and care in England.
