Not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £15,000 through the Children’s Alliance Fund which supports projects helping children and young people under 18 gain access to water for learning, development and play.
The 2026 funding round focuses particularly on swimming and water safety, and the fund prioritises initiatives that remove financial, cultural and practical barriers to participation. The fund especially welcomes projects that show measurable impact on children’s confidence, competence and cognition through water-based activities.
Applicants can use funding for activities such as swimming lessons, transport to lessons, swimwear, hydrotherapy sessions and water-play equipment. The fund prioritises grassroots projects that benefit disadvantaged children and young people.
The fund currently accepts applications until 15 September 2026.
