Volunteer groups can apply for grants of up to £10,000 to seed-fund projects that improve, enhance, and support historic designed landscapes.
The Gardens Trust’s Community Grants Programme supports both capital and revenue costs for historic designed landscape projects. The Trust will prioritise:
- Projects that use seed funding or pump-priming to start sustainable activity, such as a restoration plan, Friends Group set-up costs, research project, or volunteer training scheme.
- Applications that reflect the Trust’s priorities on conservation, knowledge sharing, and encouraging participation in and enjoyment of historic landscapes.
The Trust prefers smaller charities and projects where a grant can make a greater impact. It also prefers projects that applicants can complete sustainably within 18 months of applying.
Applicants must apply by 16th October 2026.
