Funding to support NEET adults and young people

Active Derbyshire, Active Notts, Funding, News

Grant funding of up to £40,000 is available through CABWI Awarding Body for one year (subject to monitoring and availability of funds) for charitable organisations with a turnover below £1 million that work directly with young people and adults who are not in employment, training, or education (NEET).

CABWI’s aim is to fund projects that help young people improve their confidence, build their life skills, qualifications, work experience, and training, and to get jobs.

Funding themes/priorities are:

  1. Working with individuals with complex barriers to employment, enabling them to move closer or into employment, including but not restricted to ex-service personnel and ex-offenders.
  2. Working directly with young people and adults who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET), to improve their access to employment and the job market.
  3. Increasing the life skills of people so that they may further develop their careers, with a particular focus on the water, utilities, and construction industries.

Grants awarded can be used to support core costs as well as projects.
