The Erewash Small Grant Scheme and Social Connect Funding support not-for-profit organisations with costs such as activity instructors or guest speakers, venue hire, marketing, equipment, training and volunteer expenses. The schemes do not fund ongoing revenue costs, staff salaries or major building projects, and parish councils cannot apply.
Erewash Small Grant Scheme
Applicants must meet at least one priority: healthier lives; safe, strong and connected communities; better mental health and emotional wellbeing; fair opportunities and inclusive growth; or joined-up support services.
Organisations can apply for up to £1,500 from the Small Grants Fund, or up to £3,000 in combined funding when a project clearly strengthens social connections or reduces isolation.
Groups can apply once every 12 months, but not for the same project. Erewash Small Grants accept applications at any time, while Social Connect applications close on 1 December 2026. Successful Social Connect applicants must submit their monitoring form by 1 March 2027.
Use the application form and read the scheme guidance notes, or contact Erewash Voluntary Action’s Community Development Team for more information.
