The Comic Relief Community Fund is offering grants of up to £5,000 for grassroots, community-led organisations that support people living in poverty or hardship, or who are at risk of falling into poverty or hardship.
The fund will support organisations that are tackling the immediate and urgent impacts of being in poverty, including providing essential resources such as food, shelter, advice, and healthcare (e.g. foodbanks, community kitchens, homeless shelters, welfare advice agencies, and health outreach projects).
Funds are available to organisations with an annual income of less than £250,000 and can be used for direct project costs, core running costs, or a combination of both. Some examples of what funding can be used for include:
- staff wages
- materials
- equipment
- rent
- training.
Projects that build skills, increase access to employment, strengthen financial resilience, or develop community-led solutions are also eligible for funding, and organisations working to empower communities to take steps to escape poverty in the longer term are encouraged to apply.
The deadline for applications is Monday 6th October 2025 at 12pm.
