On 25th May, members of Derbyshire running club, Clowne Road Runners, came together to take part in the Decathlon Rundays 5k event at Endcliffe Park in Sheffield. Part of the club’s annual Grand Prix series, the event proved popular and the club was represented by runners aged from 6 to 73 years.
Club Welfare Officer, Clare McShane, said “Representation from our members at this event showcased the sense of community and belonging that we strive for at Clowne Road Runners. It was amazing to see such a range of runners, including generations of the same family, turning out to run together and support one another. Members celebrated finish times from 18 minutes to 50 minutes and every one received the same cheers across the finish line.”
Clowne Road Runners host regular events for members and those considering joining the club, including social runs and a weekly track night.
