The Asda Foundation Healthy Teen Minds programme (part of the Young Futures Fund) is making a total of £600,000 available to community groups. The fund supports the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable teenagers.
Grants range from £500 to £1,000. Projects must work with young people aged 13 to 18 years who face disadvantage or vulnerability.
The programme focuses on two key areas:
- Promoting inclusivity and removing barriers that prevent teenagers from accessing activities.
- Addressing pressing social issues affecting young people in their communities, including knife crime, gang involvement, bullying, and personal safety concerns.
Groups can apply for costs related to emotional and mental health support. This can include a variety of expenses including peer support activities, recreational resources (craft materials, games) and sports kit/equipment (max £500).
The grants can also fund activities and events that build connections and improve both mental and physical wellbeing.
Not-for-profit groups and organisations with an annual income below £250,000 are eligible to apply. This includes PTAs, amateur sports clubs, uniformed groups, youth clubs and similar community organisations.
Projects charging fees that create barriers to participation are unlikely to receive support.
The deadline for applications is 20th January 2026 at 10am. However, the Foundation warns that the programme may close earlier if demand is high.
