Sports Centre Assistant (Part-Time)

The University of Nottingham

Do you love sport, and want to work in a role that allows you to do something that you are passionate about? At the University of Nottingham, we are proud to have a history of success and sporting pedigree, including Olympic medallists and international-standard athletes among our students and alumni. If you want to be a part of our ambitious future, providing health, wellbeing, and exercise opportunities for our university community, we would love for you to join our team of Sports Assistants at the Sutton Bonington Sports Centre, on our beautiful campus. What you will need to bring is commitment, flexibility, and dedication. You must be able to work independently as well as in a team and have a passion for customer care and a desire to deliver excellent service. You will support with general facility operations, event set up and delivery, as well as providing safe supervision of customers. In return, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme and access to leisure and childcare facilities across our campuses. We believe that sport is essential for the wellbeing of our staff and students and should be accessible to all. We have a part-time Sports Assistant position available on a permanent contract. This post covers a set shift pattern totalling 11 hours per week. Days worked within the shift pattern are Saturday’s and Sunday’s 12:30-18:30. Each shift will incorporate a 30 minute break. Our University is a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive community. We warmly welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs – indeed this very diversity is vital to our success, it is fundamental to our values and enriches life on campus. We welcome applications from UK, Europe and from across the globe. For more information on the support we offer our international colleagues, see our Moving to Nottingham pages. This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Skilled Worker, therefore we can only accept applications from candidates who already have the right to work in UK.
