Senior Youth Worker

Parkside High CIC are recruiting a Senior Youth Worker to work with the youth to facilitate their social, personal and physical development through informal education and interactive community opportunities. Duties to include organising and running community programmes, helping the youth understand values and ideas, and building their confidence and life skills. As Senior Youth Worker you will be expected to be hands on, working in collaboration within a small, busy team, who aspire to deliver the very best youth work provision for local young people. This person will work closely with the Youth and Community Development Manager, contributing to the continuous improvement and development of the service provision. The primary responsibilities of Youth Workers are to provide guidance and support to young people and to help them reach their full potential. Parkside High CIC are a local grassroots Youth Organisation based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We offer a range of activities, support and alternative learning opportunities for Children & Young People aged 8 to 18 years. Our mission is to inspire, encourage and support young people to unlock their inner potential and achieve success. Young people access the project to learn new skills whilst having fun and building new relationships. We deliver programmes in Sport and Physical Activity, Youth Leadership, Outdoor Adventure, Forest Schools, Multi-Media, Art & Music & Volunteering. Parkside High deliver programmes across The Borough of Erewash and the wider area of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We are based at The POD Youth & Community Centre in Ilkeston and have a 2nd Site – Garden61 Youth & Community Allotment.
