We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Health department in the position of Macmillan Wellbeing for All Project Officer. Amongst several Health and Wellbeing programmes within the Health department, we work in partnership with Macmillan. We have recently secured additional funding to deliver a healthy lifestyle programme around supporting individuals to improve their health and wellbeing and support those living with and beyond cancer using physical activity and behavioural change technique to engage the target audience. You will be required to work within local communities, in particularly within ethnic diverse communities and lower socio economical communities, to develop partnerships, engage community members and support in the development of a health and wellbeing offer which meets the needs of the target audience. You will possess a Level 3 qualification as a Personal Trainer, alongside demonstrable experience of working with and supporting individuals with specific health concerns on a 1:1 and group basis to make positive healthy lifestyle choices. You will possess the ability to engage with a range of individuals, developing relationships with specific target groups to engage them onto the programme, whilst demonstrating an empathetic and person-centred approach.
