Lead Canoe Coach

Nottingham Trent University

Are you passionate about paddling and eager to inspire the next generation of student paddlers? Join our dynamic team as the Lead Canoe Coach and significantly impact our club’s growth and development. As the Lead Canoe Coach, you will oversee weekly coaching sessions during the term, guiding students as they progress from flat water to moving water kayaking. Your expertise will drive the club’s skill development, ensuring members continually improve and reach their full potential. Additionally, you will be vital in organising and coordinating club trips, offering exciting opportunities for members to experience diverse paddling environments. Water safety is a top priority, and you will champion safety initiatives to promote a safe and enjoyable paddling culture within the club. While an understanding of canoe polo is beneficial, it is not essential. This role is not only about coaching; it is about making a real difference. You will be able to watch student-athletes thrive and excel in their sport. We provide ongoing internal coaching support and professional development opportunities to help you grow and succeed as a coach. We consider applications even if you don’t meet every single one of the requirements, so don’t be put off if you don’t match them perfectly.
