SJDF provides engaging community group exercise classes in South Derbyshire, with classes in Rolleston on Dove, Hilton, Hatton and Stretton.
FitSteps© – upbeat ballroom and latin dance fitness class. This class combines the up tempo steps of latin dance with the graceful steps of the ballroom to create a joyous exercise class that can improve heart health and cardio, and improve posture and balance. No dance partner is needed, but participants can expect to learn real latin and ballroom dance steps and feel like they’re dancing on Strictly, in a solo dance workout style class.

SLIIK© Fitness – SLIIK (“sleek”) is a low impact fusion workout that packs a punch. Combining contemporary dance fitness with Pilates inspired bodyweight exercises and light dumbbells for a full body workout. There is a strong emphasis on mobility & balance, with the class continually switching between standing and floor based exercises to build lower body strength and mobility and reduce falls risk. Resistance exercises help to build bone density reducing osteoporosis risk and building/maintaining muscle strength and joint stability.

Pilates – classical style Pilates classes that are focussed on getting everybody moving. Challenges and modofications given throughout, these classes are designed to be invigorating and effective for physical fitness. No slow, boring routines here, but expect to develop strength, mobility and flexibility through bodyweight exercises and monthly props classes incorporating light dumbbells.
