Wheelchair Tennis Initiative
As we build on from the excitement of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the Wheelchair Tennis Initiative is designed to provide transformative experiences, offering young people with a physical impairment to learn and develop their tennis skills. Whether you dream of playing for fun or have aspirations to follow in the path of top players like Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid, Lucy Shuker and Andy Lapthorne to become the next Grand Slam or Paralympic Champion, the Wheelchair Tennis Initiative could be the start of your journey.
Who can Join
This Wheelchair Tennis Initiative welcomes participants aged between 6 and 18 yrs. It is inclusive and open to those with physical impairments who are looking to enjoy the sport of wheelchair tennis.
What to expect
Get ready for an exciting session of wheelchair tennis where you can improve your skills, meet new friends, and have a great time on the court. Our experienced coaches will guide you through drills and games to enhance your game. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the pathway opportunities, from grassroots to Paralympic Games and Grand Slams.
Pricing & Equipment
The Wheelchair Tennis Initiative is FREE to join and all equipment, including sports wheelchairs and rackets will be readily available for participants.
