Franky, Derbyshire Sports Welfare Lead, will be running a free face to face Neurodiversity in Sport training session on:

Date: Thursday 10th September 2026

Time: 6:30pm-8pm (there will be snacks and this will be held in the club house – with a bar for drinks)

This will be relevant to all sports, the content delivered will cover:

  • Neurodiversity in a sporting context – what it means and why it matters.
  • Traits vs labels – understanding a traits-based approach.
  • The Behavioural Iceberg – a framework to support inclusive coaching design. Identifying traits in practice – how they manifest on the ground.
  • Traits and environment – exploring sensory differences, executive functioning, and social/communication differences.
  • Practical strategies and tips to support neurodivergent individuals across various environments.
