Making movement a priority in our hospitals

adam.davenport@activepartnerstrust.org.uk
FREE Webinar, organised and hosted by the Notts falls prevention & physical activity community of practice.
In this session we will be looking at the importance of movement, clear messaging and keeping a positive attitude towards movement throughout a patient’s journey.
This webinar will feature guest contributors and will share details of some current work happening across the stratosphere of our Notts hospitals.
The projects we will hear more about in this session:
– John’s Story, The importance of being active: Case study
– Power of prehab for elective orthopaedics and enhanced recovery at Sherwood Forest Hospitals
– Physical Activity within adult mental health at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust
– Active Hospitals project at Nottingham University Hospitals
– Encouraging movement and early mobility for some of our most critically ill patients at Sherwood Forest Hospitals
Please note that this event will be focused on Notts, but is open to anyone with an interest in this work. We feel these learnings are not specific to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire so if you work in a neighbouring county you welcome to come along and take any learnings about how you can make movement a priority for the people you care for.
