Charities and community-led organisations working in Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) are encouraged to apply for a Warm and Welcoming Spaces Grant to provide or improve free and warm spaces for people across the county this winter.
Derbyshire Voluntary Action, using funding from Derbyshire County Council, have grants between £1,000 and £3,000 available to fund:
- energy costs
- furniture or facilities improvements
- staffing for extended hours
- cleaning for health protection
- activities and refreshments.
Groups are able to select the amount of funding they would like to apply for, but should note that it will be allocated according to venue capacity, expected attendance, hours of operation, and duration of service. Applicants are encouraged to consider these factors before deciding how much to apply for.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 30th September 2025.
