New Community Network Platform Launched to Support South Derbyshire Groups

Active Derbyshire, Funding, News

South Derbyshire CVS has launched a new Community Network platform to support voluntary and community groups across the district.

The organisation developed the platform after working with local groups and understanding the challenges of sustaining community organisations.

Free membership and available support

The Community Network platform is free to join and gives members access to a wide range of support. The Funding Finder helps groups search for funding opportunities based on how much funding they need. Members can apply directly for South Derbyshire Health and Wellbeing Grants through the platform.

Members can access templates, guidance, and a Community Group Health Check. The Health Check helps the CVS team offer tailored advice based on each group’s needs. The platform also provides guidance, information, and practical support resources. Groups can use the platform to recruit volunteers and engage their communities.

Members receive early access to exclusive training designed for voluntary and community organisations. The Network also offers discounted training rates and reduced room hire costs.

Shaping the platform’s future

South Derbyshire CVS encourages groups to join, explore the platform, and share feedback. Feedback will help shape the platform as it develops for the voluntary and community sector.

Groups based in South Derbyshire can join the Network and start accessing support. A short video walkthrough shows how the platform works and how to get started.

People with questions can contact South Derbyshire CVS at communitydevelopment@sdcvs.org.uk.
