How flexible is the role in terms of working patterns and working from home?

All new contracts are office-based. New members of the team are asked to work from the office for their first six months, as feedback has shown this is important in helping colleagues learn quickly, build relationships, feel part of the team and gain a strong understanding of how we work.

After the first six-months, depending on the role, there is often scope to work more from home in a way that suits both you and APT. We also recognise that working from home isn’t suitable or possible for everyone, so we’re committed to making our offices spaces work well for all team members.

Flexible working requests are a statutory employee entitlement and will always be considered on a case by case basis.

Which office will I be based at?

Employees usually choose their office base based on proximity and convenience, although this may be reviewed depending on business needs.

Can I job share or work part‑time?

Job share and part-time arrangements can be considered for all roles. If you are selected for interview, please let us know what your preferences for part time or job share.

How much travel is involved?

This varies from role to role so please discuss this with the recruitment lead on each role as part of the recruitment process.

Why are your applications asking questions about things like school dinners, sexual orientation, and my background?

We collect equality and diversity monitoring information in line with UK equality legislation and data protection law. This allows us to monitor fairness and inclusion within our recruitment processes.

Your answers are confidential and are not used during shortlisting or selection. This information is only viewed in anonymised reports at the end of hiring rounds and is not visible to those assessing applications.

Do we have access to gyms/other fitness facilities?

As our Chesterfield office is leased from Chesterfield Borough Council, we’re entitled to corporate discounts at Chesterfield Borough Council’s leisure facilities.

Do I need to provide proof of my disability/reasonable adjustment document?

We don’t need any documentation at application stage. Please see Our Commitments.

Are our offices accessible? What is parking like at our offices?

Our offices are accessible. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please let us know and we will be happy to discuss how we can support you.

We do not offer free parking at our office locations. However, there are several local pay‑and‑display car parks nearby, and both the Nottingham and Chesterfield offices are easily accessible by public transport.
