Sport England Small Grants: Sustainable Activity and Developing Young People’s Skills

Active Derbyshire, Active Notts, Funding, News

Additional to supporting projects in the most deprived neighbourhoods, Sport England is looking at two other areas which reflect King Charles’ personal passions.

Sport England is inviting projects that focus on sustainable activity while reducing the impact on the environment, to put forward their ideas.  This could include activity which could involve purchasing locally made equipment to extend capacity in a club or using local community assets to minimse travel.

Sport England has also added the additional priority of focusing on the development of skills in young people.  The ideas are over to you, but this could mean supporting young people through coaching qualifications or relevant sports administration courses, or trying new sessions to bring new participants into your club.

Grants can be up to £15,000 for up to 12 months of activity.
