Welcome to Active Derbyshire
Active Derbyshire is one of 44 Active Partnerships (APs) covering England.
Active Derbyshire is part of Active Partners Trust, a charitable trust supporting the work in Derbyshire and in Nottinghamshire, through Active Notts.
We work with partners to empower people to be active in a way that works for them and are funded by Sport England, along with the local authorities within Derbyshire to support this work. Our partners are Sport England, Amber Valley Borough Council, Bolsover District Council, Chesterfield Borough Council, Derby City Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council, Erewash Borough Council, High Peak Borough Council, North East Derbyshire District Council, South Derbyshire District Council and Derbyshire County Council. We also work closely with so many partners across the voluntary sector and other statutory bodies.
Some of the work we’re involved in is specific to Derbyshire so see below for more details on this.

If you want to move more or find groups or opportunities to be active, you’ll find this information here:
We believe everyone has a role to play in supporting people to be more active. If you want to find a way to support people to be active or already play that role, you can find this information here:
Jog Derbyshire is a network of friendly, social jogging groups spreading the length and breadth of the county – from the far tip of the High Peak to the South.
The groups cater for everyone – regardless of age or ability – so even if you’re a complete beginner you’ll be welcomed with open arms.
The Derby City Falls Prevention Collaboration Space aims to provide an opportunity to highlight the work that is taking place across the City. The hope is to give people from a range of different areas (community, clinical, and care settings) the opportunity to come together, share information and learn from each other
