The Linnean Society of London’s ‘Our Local Nature Grant’ enables young people to lead projects that improve local nature and natural spaces. The projects can also build confidence, influence positive change and bring young people’s ideas to life.
Individuals and organisations working with groups of young people anywhere in the UK can apply.
Applicants can request £150 to £1,000 per proposal through the online application form. Groups are encouraged to apply for significantly lower amounts.
The Greater London Authority funds the London Wave for applicants in London. It supports projects focused on nature and blue infrastructure, including the flow, movement and management of water.
The grant can cover materials, room hire, publicity, speakers, contractors, freelancers, reasonable volunteer expenses and transport. It cannot cover large prizes, ongoing salaries, costs funded elsewhere or general running costs. Visit the grant website for full details.
Applications opened in September 2026.
Applications close on 25 October 2026.
Organisers will notify all applicants of the outcome in early December.
