Derbyshire Voluntary Action and HW Martin have launched Derbyshire Grants for local organisations and schools. The programme will support projects that protect Derbyshire’s environment. HW Martin’s reuse shops (in Derbyshire’s Household Wate Recycling Centres) find new homes for unwanted items and reduce waste. Profits from the Bolsover Reuse Shop now funds projects across Derbyshire.
Voluntary groups, community organisations, not-for-profit bodies and schools can apply for grants between £500 and £2,500. Successful applicants can use the funding to deliver practical environmental projects.
The fund can pay for activities, events, refreshments, materials, tools and plants. Applicants can also improve facilities to increase sustainability and lower running costs.
Applications open: Monday 14 September 2026
Applications close: Friday 23 October 2026
The fund excludes projects and activities based in Derby City.
