Vice-Chair

Are you passionate about developing netball in Derbyshire? As Vice Chair, you’ll work alongside the Chair and County Management Board (CMB) to help shape the future of the game across the county. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by supporting strategic decision-making, championing volunteers, and helping ensure the county is effectively managed. This is a voluntary role, with reasonable out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed. Full support will be provided by the CMB, including assistance with any required governance training and England Netball requirements. Send completed application forms to chair@derbyshirenetball.co.uk Responsible To: Derbyshire County Netball Association Board (CMB) Main Purpose of the Role: To support the Chair to ensure an efficient, well managed county association. Core Duties: • Attend County Management Board (CMB) Meetings, approximately 6 per year, plus AGM. • Attend TSG Meetings when appropriate or requested. • To send apologies if unable to attend meetings accompanied by a valid reason. • Support the Chair and undertake work assigned by the Chair. • To take the chair at CMB meetings if the Chair is unable to attend. Essential (qualifications/skills/Knowledge required): • Good management and leadership skills • Good organisational skills/good communication skills • Be willing to become a member of England Netball, once appointed. • The ability to make decisions and the ability to delegate. • To be a good listener at meetings and ensure that all voices are aired equally thus engaging all members. • Background knowledge of netball and when not cognisant of this be guided and advised by others with that expertise; but have the ability to assimilate a balanced view and present this. • To be able to promote positively the valued work that volunteers in Derbyshire undertake and acknowledge this when and where appropriate. Requirements: • Be willing to become a member of England Netball, once appointed. • Complete all Tier 1 Governance requirement
