The government’s Youth Guarantee is a multi-million pound programme aimed at tackling youth unemployment, and through the Youth Jobs Grant Scheme, employers across the country will be able to access funding that will supporting the training and recruitment of young people.
The scheme aims to support up to 60,000 job opportunities over three years, and will be open to employers of all sizes and sectors.
In order to be eligible for a grant of £3,000, employers must recruit a young person who is aged between 18 and 24 who has been in receipt of Universal Credit, and who has been out of work for six months or more.
The fund opened at the end of June, and the deadline for applications is 31st October 2028 at 11:59pm.
