This Active Environment Network workshop will provide a guide to the planning system with Gemma Hyde from the Town & Country Planning Assoc. who will outline how the planning works and the role it plays in shaping healthy and active places to live and work.

We’ll explore the relationship between planners and colleagues around how active environments can be better embedded into planning applications and help create better understanding between the two workforces.

The Workshop is suitable for those working in planning, parks, housing, community safety, health, education, sport, active travel and voluntary sector who play a part in supporting people to be able to move and be physically active in their community by walking, cycling or wheeling.

Please let us know if you require any support to fully access or participate in this session.
