Talking Space – Learning from the Walk Notts Festival in embedding walking and wheeling into everyday lives
marketing@activepartnerstrust.org.uk
We’ve just concluded the second Walk Notts Festival, and it has offered valuable insights into how the campaign has helped build relationships and embed walking opportunities within new and existing groups and settings. Rather than serving purely as a marketing campaign, it has acted as a catalyst for collaboration and for deeper conversations about the need for change. We’ll hear from a number of organisations involved in the festival to explore the role it has played in integrating walking and wheeling into everyday life, and how these approaches might be applied more widely.
This session is for anyone interested in encouraging walking and wheeling within their organisation or community, including: community groups, charities and commissioned providers, school games organisers, head teachers, health and wellbeing officers and coaches, social prescribing link workers, housing scheme officers and day centre leaders, youth services and family hub community engagement.
