Nottinghamshire County Council have refreshed the Local Communities Fund, and community groups will soon be able to apply for grant funding to support projects that build community resilience.
£1.2 million in funding is running from 2026 to 2028, and is designed to support local organisations deliver projects that strengthen healthy, sustainable, and resilient communities.
The LCF will offer capital grants for improving local facilities and revenue grants (small and large) to help cover essential running costs (such as wages and bills).
A new foundation grant will also be introduced, specifically aimed at helping new or recently established grassroots organisations get up and running.
The updated programme includes several changes to make funding more accessible, including faster capital grant applications with match funding not required upfront.
The fund is expected to reopen soon.
