Grants of between £2,000 and £10,000 are available for grassroots charities that are active in their communities and currently delivering services to the young, vulnerable, elderly, disadvantaged, or the general community.
The Foyle Foundation makes single grants towards core costs (including supporting salaries), projects, essential equipment, or building projects. If you are applying for a capital project, apply towards the end of your fundraising campaign, when the majority of funding has been raised and you have an estimated start date for the work.
The Foundation will not fund:
- Charities with an annual turnover of more than £150,000.
- Charities that have built up considerable unrestricted reserves.
- Newer charities without a track record.
- School PTAs, friend groups, or school fundraising arms.
- Individuals.
- Building-related costs if your lease is for less than 10 years.
There is no set deadline. However, the Foyle Foundation will stop accepting applications for the Small Grants Scheme on Friday 31 January 2025, All projects must be completed before the end of 2025.
