Schools Sports Coach

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and committed individual to join Bolsover District Council’s Physical Activity and Sports Development Team. This is a key and fulfilling role where the successful individual will be required to engage with schools and other key partners to continue to deliver and promote the districts successful Active Schools PE and Sports Package within local schools. Bolsover District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district. The Physical Activity and Sports Development Team sit within Leisure Services and contribute to the District Councils priorities including improving health and wellbeing and increasing participation in sport and leisure activities. In this role you will plan, deliver and evaluate lesson plans, use a range of sports and activities to enable pupils to improve their levels of physical fitness, understanding of rules and fair play, develop their skills and enjoy being active. To be successful you will need: At least 1 National Governing Body, Level 2 coaching award. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience of delivering coaching sessions within an educational setting Experience of planning and evaluating coaching sessions Proven practical sports coaching experience (paid or unpaid) The post is based at the Arc, Clowne but will involve work at venues across the District. Hours of work will mainly be daytime working. 1 year contract (25 hours per week) – Possible annual renewal Job share can be considered Please note this post requires the successful candidate to undertake a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
