Active Derbyshire, Active Notts, Funding, News

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) has announced the third application window of Round 2 for the Community Ownership Fund. The government is providing £150 million over four years to support community groups to take ownership of assets and amenities at risk of being lost.

Voluntary and community groups can apply for match funding to acquire important assets and run them for the benefit of the local community. The Fund will run until 2024/25 and DLUHC intend to run 3 bidding windows each year for applicants to submit a full application to the Fund.

The deadline for applications for this funding round is 14 April 2023 at 11:59am. DLUHC will aim to communicate outcomes of applications in summer 2023.

Eligible venues could include:

  • community centres
  • parks
  • sporting and leisure facilities.
