Sport England’s New Movement Fund

Active Derbyshire, Active Notts, Funding, News

Sport England’s new Movement Fund, launched 29th April, simplifies funding applications and will help those projects which support people to live active, healthy, lives.

The fund, which is worth £160 million over the next four years, replaces Sport England’s existing Small Grants Programme and Active Together fund, and will offer crowdfunding pledges, grants and resources to provide physical activity opportunities that can help tackle long-lasting inequalities.

There is an eligibility quiz.  If eligible, currently, this will take you through to the application for the funding programme which replaces the Small Grants Fund.  There are a lot of similarities to the old Small Grants Fund.  The main focus remains supporting projects that match the goal of getting more people active, reducing the number of inactive people and tackling long-standing inequalities. Grant awards are between £300 and £15,000.
