School Games events give young people the chance to be active in nature

Active Notts, News, Support Others

Young people from schools across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire took part in the Notts School Games Forest Games Activity Days.

Organised by the Notts School Games Organiser Network, the events were held at Sherwood Pines on Thursday 29 June and Tuesday 4 July.

Pupils from selected schools across the city and county were given the chance to be active in nature and take part in their choice of two activities from orienteering, disc golf, pond dipping, den building, archery and climbing.

The events focused on developing pupil’s self-esteem, confidence and self-belief and on giving them a positive experience of being active outdoors, providing with them with an opportunity to try new things that they may not otherwise get chance to take part in.
