Opportunities to be active in Chesterfield

Active Derbyshire, Getting Started, Move More, News, Walk Derbyshire

Destination Chesterfield are running an ‘Invest in Chesterfield photography project’ centred around families moving more and they need a few more volunteer models to make it a success.

We’re looking for more people to pose as ‘models’ at the following dates and locations, so they’d love to showcase a diverse and vibrant Chesterfield. The details of what’s happening and when are below:

11th June – Queen’s Park Sports Centre Open Fitness Day

10 passes have been donated for adult volunteers to take part in fitness sessions including BEATZ, spinning, Body combat, Rockbox and HIIT. Volunteers would need to dress in active wear and be on site between 09:00am – 10:30am.

Please let the organisers know if you prefer to try a certain class (contact info below).

11TH June – Queen’s Park

They’re looking for 1-2 families with children, as well as a couple to take photographs of at Queen’s Park. For the families they’re looking for both children small enough to enjoy a train ride (complimentary pass) as well as children who are old enough to use the playground at the top of the park.

Once complete, these images will provide a new selection of photographs for use by Champions to promote the town. If you haven’t already seen, their previous collection is available here: https://www.chesterfield.co.uk/destination-chesterfield/about-destination-chesterfield/media/images-of-chesterfield/.

Please email Tara Underhill tara.underhill@chesterfield.co.uk if you’d like to help with any of these.
