Travel Well is the name of the Nottingham City Council trial of the active travel social prescribing pilot funded by Active Travel England. Trialing this over 10 other local authorities, its aim is to find out whether making active travel referrals can help people become more active.
It is taking place within:
- Aspley, Beechdale, Bilborough,
- Bulwell and Bulwell Forest
- St. Ann’s and Sneinton
There are two grant schemes available for community groups / organisations within the areas Travel Well is taking place.
- Travel Well Community Grant Scheme
This is for equipment and tangible assets, such as bike stands, D-locks, pool bikes, water proofs etc to help with walking and / or cycling. Click here for more information.
- Travel Well Community Enabling Fund, organised by NCVS
This is to help organisations cover small costs for non-tangible items such as tea / coffee, room hire and training – all helping with walking and / or cycling opportunities. Organisations need to contact katel@nottinghamcvs.co.uk to find out more.
