The Health Lottery Foundation distributes money raised by The Health Lottery players. A minimum of 20% of every lottery draw ticket and online scratch card purchased goes towards good causes.
The funding is intended for voluntary organisations who are working to improve the health and wellbeing of people in their community.
The Foundation is taking a broad approach in the areas of work it supports because the causes of poor health, loneliness and social exclusion are complicated. This means the type of projects that improve health and wellbeing outcomes are quite varied.
The funding is for work that address the following project themes:
- Chronic disease
- Disability inequity
- Healthcare IT
- Health disparity
- Preventative care
- Young people
Applications are expected to open later in 2025, at which time, full details will be provided.
