A short film has been produced which shows some of the learning that came out of an event in April which explored the lived experience of people who have been referred into green social prescribing activities.
The event was held at St Ann’s Allotments, and was attended by a range of people from health, social prescribing services, keyworker services and voluntary organisations, along with a number of clients who spoke passionately about the need for green social prescribing to continue and that more people should be made aware of its existence and benefits.
It was fascinating to hear about the different journeys that had led people into green social prescribing activities and the different ways in which people had benefitted from
engaging in nature-based and outdoor activities and the impact on their mental wellbeing.
Attendees shared their experiences which makes the case for continued investment into green social prescribing to ensure that it continues to be an intervention of choice to support people to improve and maintain their mental
wellbeing.
